A charming, Edwardian era locket, modeled in 9k rose gold, and topped with a shapely bow. This two-crystal locket is made with a gold frame— thissmooth frameis studded with a single row of bezel-set, natural turquoise cabochons and seed pearls, that alternate, blue/white, blue/white. The locket's bow decoration andits oversized bail are alsoembellished with seed pearls, and a single turquoise cabochon which rests at the bow's center. This locket slides open, by pushing one loop of the bow away from the other.Its profileis slim and feminine, a perfect frame for whatever treasure is placed inside—a lock of hair, a photograph (or two), a scrap of fabric, or a handful of diamonds. We especially love the playful polka-dot effect the spacing of the alternating gemstones imparts, and the locket's unusual slide function. This is marked 9C for purity, with the word "protected," and with the maker's monogram JG&S (John Grinsell & Sons).
